Description

The statewide military culture training initiative is designed to increase understanding of the military population through education and training, strengthen the overall service structure in NH across military and civilian providers, and improve access to and quality of care for Veterans, Service Members, and their Families.

Your participation in this training will be instrumental and help strengthen state resources to ensure Veterans, Service Members, and Families have access to needed care!

Topics that will be addressed in this training include:

Understanding Military Culture and the Varying Deployment Cycles
In this lesson, participants will learn about phases of the deployment cycle and unique aspects of military culture. Participants will also learn about challenges that Veterans, Service Members, and their Families may face throughout the deployment cycle and strategies to communicate effectively to improve quality of care.

Understanding Veterans, Service Members, and Families of All Ages and How to Better Serve Them
In this lesson, participants will learn about serving Veterans, Service Members, and their Families of all ages. There are four generations of Veterans, with 48% of Veterans in NH age 65 and over. Each generation will have had a different experience serving in the military, particularly with reintegration after deployment. To improve quality of care, it is essential that Service Providers recognize the unique generational challenges and how to effectively communicate with Veterans, Service Members, and their Families to break down barriers.

Registration will close on Wednesday March 23. Reserve your seat today!
